The Guild offers four Levels of Certification: Practitioner, Professional, Master, and Grand Master. The basic requirements are listed below. Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have questions!
LEVEL 1 – is the CTR “Certified Tarot Reader” …There is a CTR Exam (short quiz) on very basic Tarot knowledge. That is followed by a “Test Reading” given via a Zoom Call, FB Messenger Call, or you can submit it via email (written or a recording – video or audio) as well…
If you are not a “Tarot Reader”, don’t worry! We also take applications for any of the other Psychic Sciences (or related modalities) such as: Numerologist, Astrologer, Medium, Animal Communicator, Psychic Advisor, Spiritual Coach, Angel Practitioner, etc…
In this case, there is no written exam, we just do a “test session” for whatever your modality is…
We are looking for your ability to give a professional-level Reading or session in your chosen modality. The examiner asks themselves “What did I get out of this session?”, “Would I return to this practitioner for another session?”, “Would I recommend this practitioner to family members and friends?”, etc…
LEVEL 2 – is the CTP “Certified Tarot Professional” (or “Certified Professional + your modality”) There is no “testing” for Level 2 or higher. These Levels are based on experience and professional development.
For Level 2, we are looking for a minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional practitioner of Tarot or whatever your modality is.
In addition, we are looking for professional development. This can be documented in many ways. The simplest is getting a Certificate in another related modality.
Life Coaching is the one we usually recommend at this level, but it could also be a certification as an Angel Practitioner, Hypnotherapist, EFT, NLP, Astrologer, Numerologist, and so on…..
However, you can also show professional development by documenting other accomplishments such as: writing articles in your field, writing a book, creating a deck, creating a podcast, making many appearances as a guest on podcasts, radio shows, YouTube or TV promoting and further your Field, creating a blog or website, teaching, mentoring in your field, etc, etc.
LEVEL 3 – is the CTM “Certified Tarot Master” (or Master Advisor, Practitioner, etc…)
The minimum experience as a Professional Tarot Reader (or the modality you are a professional in) we are looking for is 10 years…
We are also looking for further professional development. For example: acquiring additional certifications in related fields, and/or documenting further accomplishments, such as those mentioned above….
In addition, to qualify for the Master Level, you need to be able to show you are making a significant contribution to your Field…
LEVEL 4 – is the CTGM “Certified Tarot Grand Master” (or Grand Master Advisor, Practitioner, etc…)
Grand Masters are Certified Master Tarot Readers, Practitioners, or Advisors who have continued to develop professionally (minimum 15 years experience), making significant contributions to their Field….
They usually are very well-known in their Field or can document this development and progression.
Those are the basic requirements…
The normal progression for new practitioners is they would Join The Guild, apply for Level 1 when they are ready, and get certified.
They would then over the next five years practice as a professional, while also continuing to progress by writing articles and posts, teaching workshops, perhaps even writing a book after a while, or creating a deck.
You can also appear on podcasts and shows, create your own podcast or show (this is one of the purposes of our “Psychic Cafe Network”), perhaps get additional certifications, create a website, a blog, and so forth….
They would then apply for Level 2, and get certified…
And continue to progress for a minimum of 5 more years and then apply for Level 3…….
However, please note:
Many of our applicants are Experienced Professionals and already have 10+ 20+ 30+ years of experience and significant professional development…
Many of these professionals join The Guild and apply for the first Level of certification, and then apply for Level 2, and then Level 3, in rapid succession. You may already qualify for higher levels of certification….
