Halloween Deck Talk

What decks do you like to use during the Halloween/ Samhain season? I have my seasons deck and those I use mostly during the Halloween season. And today, I am going to share my information on these decks with you.

I only have a handful of decks I use during this season, however; they are fun decks and it’s always so energetic to open the decks and get re-acquainted with them each year.

One deck I found to be very straight forward and beautifully done is The Halloween Oracle by Stacey Demarco. It is a great size. Not too big and not too small. The written words match perfectly with the imagery on the cards, is kept short & to the point, and makes sense.

This is definitely a great Oracle deck. My favorite cards are the skeleton, which is about strength. Our skeletons are truly the backbone of our bodies (hahaha pun intended), and Joy, being in the present, in the now, enjoying the moment.

Trick or Treat Tarot by Barbara Moore. This is a fun deck. No borders which I feel enhances the imagery in this deck. This deck really shows the fun side of Halloween. This deck is fun to use and it has an honest, open yet youthful energy to it. This is hard to say my favorite cards. So I am just going to say I love the Sun. That’s what this card is.

You are the flower, you shine. It’s your day, and the Chariot. Isn’t that just like a parent on Halloween being dragged by the kids no ending in sight, you want victory for you and them but oh how to rein them in. Ok and the 2 of Cups is such a deep image of love, bond, and togetherness no matter what.

Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Tarot. Yes, I had to, and what is even worse is I have only just recently watched the movie. This is a great deck. Great size. I enjoy this deck. It’s great for Jack Skeleton lovers!

My favorite cards are the Wheel of fortune. He’s going with the flow, he’s like “ok fate, I’m going with you.”, and the Hanged Man. Santa has a one track mind, but even he needs to stop and look at things differently now and again.

The Cute Ghost Tarot by Moonchild Tarot. Such a cute deck. I love the cute ghosty, along the tarot journey. He’s not Casper, but his own character similar to the rider/waite deck. This is a fun deck to use during the Halloween season.

My favorite cards are the Devil, which shows what you are chained to, and I love his horns, and the 3 of swords, which in this deck, shows that you are focusing on heartache when the pain is now mental ache.

Freak Show Circus Tarot by Fran Carras. Although not necessarily a Halloween deck, it still fits nicely for the season. It’s a fun little deck with fun characters and tells the story it needs to tell.

My favorite cards in this deck are the Fool, since it truly focuses on that adventurous character, and the 3 of Swords, which truly shows the definition of what it means to have your heart worry inside of your mind.

Horror Tarot by Minerva Siegal and Aria Gmitter. This is a dark yet fun little deck. The different horror story scenarios. So much fun to go through and see what the energy and cards have to say. My favorite cards in this deck are the 3 of Swords. It doesn’t show the heart but the brain. And that is what the card portrays is brain pain. And then there is the Emperor. It’s the Vamp. He has mesmerizing eyes and pulls you in.

The Bones Arcana Tarot by Junaid Mortimer. I love this deck. Not a busy deck. Mostly black and white with some red in it. And the skeletons are the characters. This deck speaks volumes and has an energy of pure, unbridled truth.

My favorite cards in the deck are the tower, I love how the skeleton is holding that tower, saying yes it’s crazy and going down, but you got this, you are still in control here. The other card is the Judgement card. I appreciate the artist’s imagery of “are you ready to enter this next stage? Now is the time to check.”.

Happy Halloween tarot by Soni Graves. This is definitely a unique little deck. It is a very busy and fun deck. This deck is full of mystery and adventure and makes one think deep and dig into intuition and Spirit for answers.

My favorite cards are the 2 of Swords. 2 choices, the decision is yours, which way to go. The 6 of Swords with the illusion in the imagery. Very captivating.

Seasons of the Witch Samhain Oracle by Lorraine Anderson and Juliet Diaz. I enjoy this oracle deck. It is a perfect size; I can even shuffle it nicely. This deck delivers the message from the spirit of Samhain. My favorite cards are Intuition, the truth is in you, and All Hallow’s Eve, where it starts.

Now, last but not least, the Jack-0’-Lantern Tarot. I find this to be an easy-to-read deck. Lots of detail and description in the imagery. Very beautifully done. It is fun and easy to read with, and the imagery speaks volumes.

My favorite cards are the Fool. It just shows the Jack-o’-Lantern on his journey. Happy, innocent and free. And of course, the 3 of Swords. This card shows the face, with the swords in the brain. The truth of swords and thought and emotions and where it all truly stems from. Beautiful card.

Well, my friends, that is all I have for now on my Halloween Decks. Have a blessed and amazing Halloween 2024.

Blessed be!
